SUMMARY
Easy Traveling
Etch is a personal virtual travel journal to summarise a trip, enter activities within a daily log and share with friends. Each memory/activity/experience, associated with the place visited, can be logged into the mobile application along with supporting pictures uploaded directly from the camera gallery. These logs can then be shared with friends if needed or simply stored for future memories.
PROBLEM
How do I remember my trip?
Research shows that a human’s short-term memory can hold up to 7 pieces of information at the same time, but only for around 20 seconds! Many travelers have pointed out that they have very few memories even from some of their most memorable trips and regret not writing down their trip details to better remember these experiences.
The challenge is encouraging users to take some time out after a trip to log in all their travel details, privately or in groups, day-wise in a systematic way, and maybe even share with their friends. These are travel-centric users who would journal their experiences if they have a fun and organised way of doing so.
